Product Description

Our biryani spice mix is composed of 15 different spices- all toasted before ground to give you the purest aromas the spices could yield. No salt or preservatives added- just spices- so don't forget to salt your Biryani! Ingredients: Coriander, cumin, bay leaf, fennel, star anise, cloves, nutmeg, black pepper, black cardamom, green cardamom, mace, cinnamon, turmeric, black mustard, chili Simple Recipe for Chicken Biryani: Chicken Biryani (Gravy): 1. Mix 1.5 cups of yogurt with 1.5 - 2 tbp of Biryani Mix, 1 tsp of grated garlic and 1 tsp of grated ginger. 2. Marinate 1 kg of chicken cuts in this mixture for 30 min. or more. 3. In a large pan, fry 3 large red onions in 3 tbp of oil and 1 tsp of salt until brown. 4. Add 1 tsp of grated ginger and 1 tsp of grated garlic, some sliced chilies and cook until the raw smell goes away. 5. Add 1.5 tbp of Biryani Mix and sauté for about 30 seconds. 6. Add 1.5 cups of diced tomatoes, salt to taste and cook until soft. 7. Add the marinated chicken plus any remaining marinade mixture, and cook this until the meat of the chicken is falling off the bone. Assmebling your Biryani: 1. Oil the bottom of a large caserole (in which you are going to serve your Biryani) with some ghee or oil. 2. Add a layer of cooked Basmati rice in the bottom of the pan. Jasmime rice or any long grain rice will do in the absence of Basmati rice. 3. Add a layer of the Chicken Biryani Gravy. 4. Repeat the layering process 2 or more times until the gravy is finished. Add a final layer of rice. 5. Garnish with mint leaves and fried onions. 6. Cook this on a low flame for 20 more minutes before serving. 7. Optionally, garnish with more yogurt and mint leaves Enjoy!
