Turumpo is one of the most popular native Filipino game during year 80's up to early 20's. It is still know until these days, but not alike as it was before. It is in a conical and sphere shape wooden material, while a nail was attached in the middle bottom of it. The size of its wooden body is usually near 5 cm, while its nail is near 2 cm. It is also made from a hardwood material such as narra, guava, ipil and etc. Having more durable material will be a good advantage against other opponent player, since they will all tends to target and hit your turumpo with their turumpo's nail, they will try to make a huge damage or destroy your turumpo, while it is on the ground, this is just another way of playing it.In order to use your turumpo, you should need a 'tyate' or a thread with a tanzan in the other end, this will act as your grip to your tyate, you just need to twirled your tyate into your turumpo, then make a hit and throw it, while aiming for your opponent's turumpo. The twirled tyate, will going to apply a quick spin with your turumpo.
