Stevia is a sweetener and sugar substitute derived from the leaves of the plant species Stevia rebaudiana, native to Brazil and Paraguay. It is a high intensity sweetener, 200-300 times sweeter than table sugar (sucrose). Stevia as a sweetener is generally recognized as safe (GRAS)
Erythritol is a sugar alcohol food additive. It occurs naturally in some fruit and fermented foods. It is 60-70% as sweet as sucrose.
The stevia-erythritol blend combines the right amounts of stevia and erythritol that compliments each other to enhance their flavor and add a fuller texture. This blend is twice (2x) as sweet as table sugar.
This blend is ideal for sweetening coffee and tea, baked goods, cold beverages, yogurt, cereal, fruit, sauces, etc. It can be used in any recipe or application that calls for sugar. It has no bitter or chemical after taste.
