Engine mouting is a component that holds powertrain such as engine and transmission, and also responsible for minimizing shock from shifting engine/transmission or condition of road. 
Not only engine mount, center mount type exist as well depending on structure of vehicle. There is also a type that consist of rubber and bracket only, or a type that improves impact damping ability by sealing fluid inside of rubber. 
Rubber components are designed to absorb road and engine vibration. Poor material or incorrect design can compromise
engine performance and vehicle stability
