Synopsis:
Nutritional status assessments play a major role in monitoring child nutrition. If a child 's status is assessed correctly and accurately, the signs or symptoms of growth disorder or development of the child may be known early so that there can be countermeasures and prevention in an attempt to increase nutritional status in toddlers. And the problem of nutrition can be minimized. For this reason, the determination of nutritional status in infants must be done quickly and accurately.

In order to obtain accurate methods, comparisons between existing methods are needed to obtain high accuracy methods, so in this study authors compare C4.5 and na ve Bayes algorithms. In comparison to these algorithms, C4.5 algorithms have higher accuracy than na ve Bayes algorithms so that C4.5 algorithms are selected to optimize their accuracy again using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithms. The C4.5 algorithm is the highest accuracy value in the C4.5 classification model with an accuracy rate of 72.13%, after Optimization with the Particle Swarm Optimization rate increased to 80.04%.
