Synopsis: Mining is one of the economic wheel drive elements of an area, but on the other hand mining also potentially impacts the environment. Sinergity between economic benefits and environmental management through the application of good mining rule (good mining practices) needs to be carried out to obtain social permission operating (social license to operate). The book provides a picture of tools that play a role in the application of good mining practices in a mining activity. Some of these tools are described in detail including environmental audit, and DPSIR. In addition, the application of good mining practices has also been described to provide actual case study of the best practices conducted by a mining activity. Two important aspects that become an impact source on mining activities namely mine acid water, and waste of harmful and toxic ingredients diskussed by combining between theory and field applications related to the management of both impact sources.
