WATER-REPELLENT is not easily penetrated by water. Water just repel to the fabric. It means that it is hydrophobic,  Hindi Basta basta tatagos ang tubig. Pero kung tuloy tuloy na buhos ng ulan or ibababad mo  sa tubig, for the purpose of cleaning the fabric and disinfecting, ito po ay mababasa. The material is breathable to prevent moisture that causes rust because of changing weather

WATER PROOF means that it is full resistant to water. Ito po ay kagaya ng mga, fabrics with plastic film inside, pang raincoat at trapal ang material  na kahit alcohol and heavy rains won't be able to penetrate. It will keep the heavy rain off your car but because of the material the moisture will be trapped in your car. And also during hot days (summer) the plastic film may stick to the car and damage the car paint.
