Oat flakes big leaves are the most common type of oat flakes. The texture is chewier than instant oats or small leaves/steel cut oats. They are great for baking. Thanks to the content of beta-glucans, they help to lower cholesterol. -No palm oil

*Requires quick cooking:
Bring water or milk to a boil in a medium saucepan. Stir in oats, reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 25-30 minutes or until oats are of desired texture.
