7in flexible probe can be bent as needed to facilitate reaching wires in ongested or difficult places. According to the characteristics of the circuit and the sensitivity setting, the probe will pick up the signal from the wire within a certain range.
In order to obtain the best range, the probe tip (black cap) of the receiver should be perpendicular (at 90°)to the wire being traced and either above or below it.
With internal protection, protect it from power surges and overloads. Transmitter and receiver LEDs display open circuit or short circuit status.
