(1)Question: Some reviews say this scarf is extra long, so I am curious if it could possibly be cut in half (taking care to prevent fraying) for use by two people?

Answer: No , I would not recommend cutting at all . even though it is extra long it is a fine mesh and works better than most because of the length as is for head wrapping
