ABOUT THE AUTHOR Donald S. Lipardo, MSPT, PTRP obtained his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BSPT) degree from the then Institute of Physical Therapy of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in 1999. He took and passed the Philippine Licensure Examination for Physical Therapists in the same year, placing ninth overall. In 2001, he received his Diploma in Teaching from the University of Regina Carmeli in Bulacan and passed the Philippine Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) at the same time. He then took further studies and earned his Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) degree in 2003 from the UST Graduate School in collaboration with the University of South Australia (UniSA). He also took and passed the United States of America-national Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) in 2007. He is a lifetime member with good standing of the Philippine Physical Therapy Association, Inc. (PPTA) and served the association as Vice President for Internal Affairs from 2006-2008 and as member of the Board of Directors from 2008-2010. He is also a member of the Educators Special Interest Group and the Neuro-Geria Special Interest Group of PPTA. He also held key positions in the College of Rehabilitation Sciences (CRS) of UST. He was appointed as Educational Technology and e-Learning Applications Coach (E-TEACH) from June 2005 to November 2008, as Chairman of the Department of Physical Therapy from November 2008 to October 2009, and as Faculty Secretary from November 2009 to May 2011. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of UST-CRS, handling courses such as therapeutic exercises, clinical education, physical therapy seminars, and internships.
