PLANT DESCRIPTION: Talilong Talinum fruticosum  PHILIPPINE SPINACH Talinum is a genus of herbaceous succulent plants in the family Talinaceae whose common names include fameflower and flameflower. Several species bear edible leaves, and Talinum fruticosum is widely grown in tropical regions as a leaf vegetable very nutritious goid for salad. Talinum paniculatum is grown as an ornamental plant. Talinum fruticosum (Philippine spinach) is a small, short-lived, perennial plant with succulent stems, growing to a height of 80 centimeters and a width of 50 centimeters, with swollen and fleshy roots. Flowers are small, usually pink, occasionally yellow or white. PLANT CARE: Propagate with seed or cuttings planted in sandy soil. Sow the seeds in the spring and take cuttings in the summer. The seeds are very small. To sow the seeds, mix them with some sand and sprinkle them over the potting soil. PLEASE READ !!!
