Salvia
A beautiful plant with many spikes of deep blue flowers. Most impressive grown en masse, and especially when surrounded with shorter yellow flowers.
Sow in seed trays or direct. Cover lightly, firm down and keep moist. Transplant or thin out when plants are about 5cm high.
Plant in an open, sunny, well drained position. Plants need little attention. Encourage growth and flowering by applying fertilizer prior to flowering.
