Rust-Oleum Specialty Glitter Spray Paint Glitter spray paint offers an intense sparkling finish for any craft or decorative project. Our Glitter paint also provides a full coverage of radiant shimmer for many surfaces including: wood, metal, wicker, glass, ceramic, pottery, craft foam, paper, plastic and more. For added protection, top coat with the Rust-Oleum® Glitter Clear Sealer. For use on interior items only. PRODUCT FEATURES *Intense Shimmer Finish *Multi- Surface Use *Hold can upright 12-14” from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. *Use on interior items only *For added protection, top coat with the Rust-Oleum® Glitter Clear Sealer. PRODUCT APPLICATION Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area such as an open garage. Use when temperature is between 50ºF (10ºC) and 90ºF (32ºC) and humidity is below 65% to ensure proper drying. Do not apply to surfaces that, when heated, exceed 200°F (93°C). Avoid spraying in very windy and dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect from spray mist. SURFACE PREPARATION Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and chemical contaminants by washing the surface with a commercial detergent, or other suitable cleaning method. Rinse with fresh water and allow to thoroughly dry. Remove loose paint and rust with a wire brush or sandpaper. Lightly sand glossy surfaces to create a surface profile. PRIMING Use of a Painter’s Touch®Primer provides excellent adhesion and hiding and is especially recommended for bare wood and metal. A primer, however, is not recommended for Styrofoam®* and paper. APPLICATION Shake can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle, DO NOT STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during use. Hold can upright 12-14” from surface and spray in a steady backand-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface. Keep the can in motion while spraying. Apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart. Do not use near open flame. DRY & RECOAT Dry and recoat times are based on 70ºF and 50% relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. Dries to touch in 20 minutes, to handle in 1 hour, and fully dry in 24 hours. Recoat at anytime. CLEAN-UP When finished spraying, clear valve by turning can upside down and pushing spray button for 5 seconds. Clean-up wet paint with xylene or mineral spirits. Properly discard empty container. Do not burn or place in home trash compactor. CLOGGING If the valve clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse in a solvent such as mineral spirits. Do not insert any object into can valve opening.
