It raises the pH of the soil to improve plant growth and maximize fertilizer performance. The recommended soil pH is between 6.0-7.0. Below that, it can be acidic and decrease effectiveness of your fertilizer. We recommend testing the pH of your soil using a soil pH home kit before application.
