DESCRIPTION: BOYSEN® Oil Wood Stain is available in various shades to bring out a clear and natural tone in wood. When clear coated with BOYSEN® Lacquer varnish products, BOYSEN® Oil Wood Stain highlights wood grains, adds freshness and color, and provides superior protection. PRINCIPAL USES: For enhancing wood grain on interior wood works and other surfaces such as cabinets, furniture, paneling, etc. PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 25 - 30 square meter /4 liters /coat (depending on wood absorptivity) APPLICATION: by brush or spray SURFACE DRY: Two (2) hours DRY THROUGH: 4-5 hours DRY FILM THICKNESS: 1.5 mils / coat OVERCOATING INTERVAL: Overnight THINNING: BOYSEN® Paint Thinner #0340 SURFACE PREPARATION: Sand surface until wood is smooth to the touch and no slivers or rough edges remain. Hammer all nails deep enough to apply putty. Dust off surfaces completely then wipe with a clean rag. If repainting, remove all paint by wire brushing, scraping, or by using BOYSEN® Paint & Varnish Remover #141. PAINTING SCHEDULE: Thoroughly stir the can contents before using. Apply BOYSEN® Oil Wood Stain direct to bare wood without primers or undercoats either by brush, spray or by dipping in an open trough or tank. Lightly brush or wipe over once along the grain to remove excess material and to smooth out any runs. Leave each coat for about four to eight hours, or until totally dry. Recoat for a darker shade.
