The new PROMAMA® is a formulated milk designed to support women during pregnancy and lactation to meet their extra nutritional needs.  PROMAMA® contains important nutrients such as DHA (66.3mg/100g), Choline, Calcium, Vitamin D, Prebiotic (Oligofructose) and Zinc. It also contains Folic Acid and Iron which are essential during these critical stages. Now with A2 β-Casein Milk which comes from cows specifically selected and Sphingomyelin which is a type of phospholipid derived from Whey Protein. A1 and A2 milk contain different types of beta-casein protein. Regular milk contains both A1 and A2 beta-casein, but A2 milk contains only A2 beta-casein. Some studies indicate that A2 milk may be the healthier of the two. Clinical studies in adults showed that (main results): − A2 milk is associated with significantly less severe gastrointestinal symptoms compared to A1 milk (Jianqin, 2016; He, 2017). − A2 milk significantly increases gut transit time compared to A1 milk in adults with self-reported intolerance to cow’s milk (Jianqin, 2016). This is in line with the results from Barnett et al. on rats (Barnett, 2014). - The potential benefits of A2 milk come from the absence of A1 β-casein (which is in regular milk). This β-casein seems to have pro-inflammatory properties (Haq, 2014; Barnett, 2014; Jianqin, 2016) and releases BCM-7, a peptide that might have potential adverse effects on health outcomes.
