Activation of the Service - Just plug-in device to activate the PLDT Home WiFi service - On the FIRST "power on" of the Home WiFi Prepaid modem, the customer must allow 8 to 10 minutes for the device to upgrade to the latest modem software. Interrupting the upgrade may result in modem software/hardware defects. See details on what the customer will experience during this upgrade: - Customer plugs-in and turns on their Home WiFi modem - The modem will take two minutes to connect. The signal LED indicator should turn green or blue. - Once the signal LED indicator is green or blue, the software upgrade will commence and will take at least 5 minutes. - Once the software upgrade is completed, the modem will restart and only the power LED indicator will be lit. - After 30 seconds, the modem's signal LED indicator will be a blinking red light. This will continue for at least 1 minute. - Once the signal LED indicator turns green or blue, this means that the software upgrade has been completed. - The software update will consume no more than 10MB of data. - Checking load balance & monitoring of usage - Customer may check their balance and monitor their usage thru the modem dashboard or thru the myPLDT Smart App: - To access the modem dashboard, connect to the PLDT Home WiFi network. THE SERVICE - Home WiFi Prepaid is a broadband-only service (no voice line) powered by Smart LTE. It comes with a plug and plays LTE modem and a Smart Bro SIM. - Up to 5 devices can connect to the modem simultaneously. - The SIM shall work only with the provided LTE modem and vice versa. - The SIM will not be capable of incoming and outgoing calls as well as outgoing SMS.
