Shellfish skin (usually used by oyster shells) contains many Calcium that is alkali so it is excellent for use as a pH buffer, which is stabilizing pH if suddenly pool occurs in pH. It can be used for pool and aquarium filter media.
Function:
As a pH buffer, to stabilize the pH and prevent stress fish during rain or after rain. No salt required to stabilize water pH after rain.
How to work:
Oyster will release calcium if PH of pool water that experiences PH drop due to rainwater.
