Sold in 250g, 500g, and 1,000g. Let me give you some introduction about Akadama What is Akadama Soil? -Akadama is a naturally occurring, clay-like soil that is found mainly in Japan. In Japanese, it means “red ball earth” and is aptly named because this soil is largely formed as a result of the eruptions of Mt. Fuji on Honshu Island. - it looks like clay; however, it does not actually clay and is mined in Japan. Once mined it is then dried by heating to high temperatures and sifted into different grades according to the size. It is naturally a light brown in color, when wet it changes color to a darker brown. How do you use Akadama? -Akadama has a number of Uses in horticulture. -As a topping material when potting succulents. -as a topping to identify when to water since Akadama turns into dark brown when wet and just brown when dry. -As a growing medium for succulents. -In Bonsai, where it is often combined with other materials such as sand, peat, and compost.
