DEXRON HP SILICONE EMULSION 60% GENERAL DESCRIPTION DEXRON HP SILICONE EMULSION is effective, easy-to-use silicone emulsions especially designed to offer: • Good freeze-thaw stability with no creaming or severe oiling after eight cycles. • Good storage stability with only trace oiling occurring at 54°C (130°F) for extended lengths of time. • Good dilution stability. • High surface-abrasion resistance and water repellency. • Excellent release characteristics. USES DEXRON HP SILICONE EMULSION are used in a wide variety of applications because of their intermediate viscosity and water – dilutable, stable forms. As release agents, these emulsions may be applied in low concentrations by spraying, dipping, brushing or wiping mold surfaces. The heat-stable films formed from these silicone emulsions do not carbonize at temperatures, which quickly destroy organic mold release agents, do not build up on the molds, and do not discolor rubber or plastic parts. Using moderately hard water for dilution has not affected emulsion stability. As general lubricants, DEXRON HP SILICONE EMULSION serve many uses. In the textile industry they have found acceptance as yarn and thread lubricants to reduce needle wear and breakage, and as treatments for glass fabric used as exhaust filters. In other areas, DEXRON HP SILICONE EMULSION are used as lubricants for rubber stoppers and gaskets on screw tops and bungs, as release agents for tubers used in forming polyethylene and other plastic bags, and as lubricants and release agents for extruded rubber parts and conveyor belts. As polish ingredients, these emulsions have been used in automobile and furniture polish formulations, as well as alone in diluted form for all purpose polishes.
