DESCRIPTION: BOYSEN® Latex Paint is a 100% acrylic latex paint with excellent hiding, durability and dirt pick-up resistance. It finishes painting jobs in less coats, yet lasts longer than other brands allowing you to save a lot on time, effort, worry and money. PRINCIPAL USES: For interior and exterior such as concrete, stucco, bricks plaster, hollow blocks, drywall surfaces, and properly primed wood. PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 25-30 square meter / 4 liters / coat SURFACE DRY: Thirty (30) minutes DRY THROUGH: Two (2) hours DRY FILM THICKNESS: 1-1.5 mils/coat OVERCOATING INTERVAL: Allow one hour before recoating. THINNING: Use as supplied. If necessary, thin with not more than ½ liter of water per 4-liter can APPLICATION: paint brush, roller or airless spray. PACKAGING: 16-liter; 4-liter and 1-liter cans (white only) COLORANTS: Use only BOYSEN® Latex Colors for tinting to achieve pastel shades. To produce dark shades, use factory or Mix and Match™ pre-mixed colors. Do not use Hansa Yellow B-1466 and Toluidine Red B1407 for exterior applications SURFACE PREPARATION: New Concrete Allow new concrete to dry for 14-28 days under normal weather conditions before painting. Surface to be painted should be clean and dry, free from oil, grease, dust, dirt, contaminants, and all loose grit and mortar. If neutralizing, treat surface with a solution of 1 part BOYSEN® Masonry Neutralizer B-44 diluted in 16 parts water, applying liberally by brush or roller. Let dry overnight before rinsing with water to remove white crystals that form on the surface. Let dry before painting. However, if the concrete has been cured for more than 28 days, there is no need for neutralizer. Drywall Substrates Install and secure joints as per manufacturer’s recommendations. Repainting Scrape off all loose, scaling, flaking, and peeling paint manually or by using BOYSEN® Paint and Varnish Remover B-141, as necessary. Wash surfaces clean and completely remove chemical residue. Let it dry. For repainting concrete with chalky old paint, use BOYSEN® Chalk Blocker™ B-7304 as surface conditioner. In case of mildew infestation, treat with a bleach solution (1:3, laundry bleach to water, respectively) by swabbing or brushing. To ensure proper treatment, let stand for 24 hours before cleaning off residue. Let dry.
