WHY DO THEY DO WHAT THEY DO?
Being fascinated by this question, Syvel Abance came to write this book that unwraps the richness and vastness of the Kankanaey tribe.
As you learn about their rituals, you will also get to know their values which include dedication for the betterment of each community member, preservation of the family and importance of discipline, respect for fellowmen and nature, having a better perspective amidst challenges, seeking peaceful resolutions when there are disagreements, and many others.
Despite her young age, her reflections of these rituals and relating the values behind these in her own life’s journey manifest a mature culturally-rooted perspective.
