Indication Effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens: Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, Escherichia coli, Shigella, Salmonella, Proteus and Pasteurella. Poultry: Treatment of CRD, coryza, primary and secondary infections that arise following viral or mycoplasma infection. Swine: In piglets under 4.5 kg, to control secondary bacterial effects of nutritional diarrhea and treatment of swine pleuropneumonia and colibacillosis caused by E. coli susceptible to amoxicillin. Cattle: Treatment of bacterial enteritis due to susceptible E. coli including veal calves. Dosage Administer through drinking water. Treatment (daily, 5-7 days) - Poultry: 1 tsp/4 L for approx. 35 heads. Swine – Piglet: 1 tsp/2 L/piglet. Grower and finisher: 2 tsp/4 L/pig. Sow and boar: 5 tsp/4 L/pig. Contraindications Do not administer to animals sensitive to penicillin; it may cause allergy following inhalation, ingestion/skin contact that may lead to cross-reactions to cephalosporins and vice-versa. Allergic reactions may occasionally be serious. Do not administer to rabbits, hamsters, gerbils and guinea pigs, and birds producing eggs for human consumption. Avoid use in animals with kidney malfunction including anuria and oliguria. Do not use simultaneously with neomycin. Withdrawal Poultry: 3 days. Swine: 15 days. Cattle: 25 days.
