VIRKON S 5 KGS An essential to your biosecurity program, Virkon S Broad Spectrum Disinfectant in a 1 kilo canister cleans and disinfects livestock housing, surfaces and equipment. It has been proven effective against more than 500 strains of viruses, bacteria and fungi including African Swine Fever, Foot and Mouth Disease, (FMD), Avian Influenza, Salmonella and Campylobacter. CONTENT: Peroxygen compounds, surfactant, organic acids and an inorganic buffer system CLASSIFICATION: Disinfectants DRUG CLASS : Non-Rx INDICATION: Disinfectant used in animal production (pig, cattle, sheep, rabbit and goat farms), dairy production (dairy farms, milking parlors), poultry production (chicken, duck, turkey), egg-laying farms and hatcheries, fish farms, apiaries, abattoirs, livestock markets and veterinary surgeries. Dosage : Terminal disinfection - 1:100 at 300 mL/m2. Cleaning and disinfecting equipment: To clean and disinfect equipment in farms, hatcheries, etc. - 1:100-200 (0.5-1%) depend¬ing on level of soiling at 300-400 mL/m2. Sanitizing and disinfecting equipment: For sanitizing water systems at terminal clean out - 1:100 (0.25%), dose header tank and drain system. Leave for at least 30 mins. Conti¬nuous water sterilization - 1:1000 (0.1%), dose header tank as required. Fogging - 1:25 (4%) in 85:15 water at 25 mL/m2, Virkon S Fog Enhancer mixture. Aerial dis¬infect¬ion - 1:200 (0.5%) at 1 L/100 m3 of air space. Aerial spraying in the presence of animals - 1:200 at 10-20 mL/m2 of floor space. Do not spray directly at animals.
